Yeovil College works with the South Somerset 14-19 Partnership and the North Dorset Partnership to offer a broad range of learning opportunities through the provision of additional course options at Key Stage 4 for students aged between 14 and 16.
These courses aim to address the needs and aspirations of young students, ensure their success and enable them to contribute effectively to the community in the future.
Courses Available
Currently, the College and the Partnerships provide 14-16 courses in the following areas:
South Somerset
- Animal Care
- Construction
- Engineering Technology
- Hairdressing
- Land Based Studies
- Motor Vehicle Studies
North Dorset
- Construction
- Hairdressing
Schools
To date, students from 15 local schools have completed Yeovil College courses. The South Somerset schools include: Buckler's Mead Community, Fairmead, Holyrood Academy, Huish Episcopi, King Arthur's Community, Preston, Stanchester Community, Wadham and Westfield Community, while North Dorset students usually come from the Gryphon, Gillingham, Shaftesbury, Sturminster Newton, Blandford or Yewstock schools.
