Title & Level: AS/A Level History (Level 3)

Introduction
The study of History provides a unique and challenging perspective on the relationship between ordinary people and the political, social and cultural situation that they fought to change. Their actions would shape our modern world.  You will consider the beginnings of the struggle for democracy in modern Britain and the battle for basic human rights in modern America.  Students will also assess how the brutal Nazi regime was able to gain power in a civilised country like Germany and how events since 1945 have changed the world forever.  Emphasis will be on discussion and debate.
