Introduction
This course will allow you to develop your musical ideas and expand your knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Music and Performance. The course allows you to become involved in many different areas including solo and ensemble performance, learning the craft of composing, and developing your listening and analysis ability.

How will I be assessed?

Course Contents
You will study in depth two styles of music, including the Western Classical Tradition. The programme of study will include looking at different styles and genres, the context of music, and the organisation of sounds. This is assessed through a listening paper and an essay based examination.
You must also demonstrate your ability to create and develop musical ideas in response to a given brief. There will be a combination of free composition and worked harmony exercises.
