Maxine started her working life with a 5 year Hairdressing Apprenticeship rising to senior stylist in a Sherborne salon, and then going on to run her own salon for 5 years before joining Yeovil College’s Hairdressing department delivering NVQ levels 1 to 3 and key skills. After 6 years Maxine branched out to be the Business Skills Advisor for, and teaching, Skills for Life. Maxine has developed the BSA role to include the subject areas listed above.

During Maxine’s successful career she has acquired the following qualifications:
