Title & Level: Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2) Active Leisure and Learning – Operations
Introduction
This is a nationally recognised Sports and Recreation Apprenticeship, specifically designed to give you the right combination of practical and theoretical knowledge and skills to develop within the industry. This Apprenticeship is aimed at students working in Operational Services and aims to provide you with greater career opportunities in this area. The programme encompasses an NVQ (Level 2) Sport Operation and Operators, BTEC Award (Level 2) in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and a BTEC First Diploma (Level 2) in Sport.
Entry requirements
You need a range of GCSEs at grade up to C. You also either need to be working in an appropriate job role at the start of your course.
Duration
This is a one year course.
Career Prospects/Progression
Following successful completion of this Apprenticeship, you can either continue your training with a relevant Level 3 qualification or apply for employment in roles such as leisure centre management, leisure centre assistant or fitness centre assistant.
How will I be assessed?
You will complete written and practical assessments and a portfolio of evidence to illustrate competence.
