Army Further Education Bursary Scheme
The British Army has developed a new initiative called the Further Education Bursary Scheme. Yeovil College are supporting this scheme which is aimed at helping young adults prepare for a career in the Army.
Students selected the Further Education Bursary Scheme will receive £1,000 during their studies and specialist tutorial support from the Army Careers. Student will receive a further £1,000 upon completion of their Phase One Army training.*
The scheme particularly targets students who are on Level 2 and Level 3 courses in sectors such as Public Services, Engineering and Construction, Catering, Sport and IT. However, the Scheme covers all Full-time, Further Education courses of study. The Army will support the students while they study and they will also give them opportunity to take part in Army activity weekends. If a bursar is sucessful through all stages of the application process they will be given a job offer with the Army on successful completion of their courses.

*If a student chooses to opt out of the scheme by not joining the Army, then they have to pay back all the money they have received, irrespective if they have completed the course or not.
