Veeda’s 18 years in the hospitality industry have entailed working in a supervisory capacity in front of house of a London five star hotel, whose clientele included VIPs and Royalty; supervising high level business functions and conferences in an Exeter conference centre and as assistant to head chef, specialising as a diet chef, in the NHS on the catering side. She continued in her role in the NHS on a part-time basis while having a family.

For the last 7 years she has been at Yeovil College initially involved with School liaison and more recently as a Business Skills Advisor.  In her Business Skills Advisor role she has successfully managed the Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) project, exceeding targets and doubling the number of part-time learners within the Hospitality department, and in partnership won a bid for £220,000 School Feast project funding for a mobile catering unit.

In her Business Skills Advisor role Veeda account manages some of the College’s largest client employers: 13 Primary Care Trusts; Somerset Care (25 nursing homes) and Palmers Brewery (55 pubs).

During Veeda’s successful career she has gained a number of professional qualifications including:

Qualified Assessor
Qualified I.V.
Profession Certificate in Management Studies (degree level)
