Examination Costs

Exam entries and registration fees are free for all courses that are part of an agreed programme in the Sixth Form.

If a student re-enters for any examination, or unit or module which forms part of any examination, which the student missed or needs to improve a grade, the student will be expected to pay their own entry or registration fee/s.  This applies to students who need to re-sit modules in modular AS or A-Level courses.

In some other circumstances, where an exam entry is not approved by a student’s lecturer, the College will also require the student to pay their own entry fee/s or examinations and registration fees.

Examples or such circumstances include:

  • If a student’s attendance at a course, or part of a course, has fallen below 80%, without any justifiable reason.
  • If, once entered for an exam, a student withdraws from the course or fails to attend the exam.
  • If, in the opinion of the lecturers, a student fails to complete sufficient coursework, or other key elements of the course.
