Title and Level: Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care and Children & Young People Workforce

Introduction
This qualification is for those members of the school workforce who directly support the teaching and learning of pupils.  The qualification incorporates the units in the Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools.  Additional units cover the specialist roles of some staff working at Level 3 e.g. supporting bilingual pupils or supporting pupils with special educational needs. 

Duration
This is a two year course.  Wednesdays 05/10/11 - 29/06/12
9.30am to 4.30pm

How will I be assessed?
Portfolio building and assessment in the workplace.  

Course Content
You will choose 1 of the following 6 pathways:
Children and Young People's Residential Management
Children and Young People's Management
Children and Young People's Advanced Practice
Adults' Residential Management
Adults' Management
Adults' Advanced Practice


All the pathways share 5 core units:
Use and develop systems that promote communication
Promote professional development
Champion equality, diversity and inclusion
Develop health and safety and risk management policies procedures and practices in health and social care or children and young people's settings
Working in partnership in health and social care, and children and young people's settings.
