Numeracy

Would you like to improve your numeracy skills to:

  • gain employment
  • progress within your career
  • feel more confident about helping your children with maths
  • gain a recognised maths qualification
  • progress onto another course
  • improve your confidence with everyday maths?

The Skills for Life Department offers FREE COURSES to help you make that step.

Courses are available during the day and evening at the main campus on Mudford Road and the North Dorset Skills Centre in Shaftesbury. 

Classes run for two hours and are available at the following times:

Mornings:     9.30am – 11.30pm
Afternoons:   1.00pm –   3.00pm
Evenings:      6.30pm –   8.30pm
   
  
Qualifications

While you are learning new skills you can also work towards a recognised qualification. These include:

  • City & Guilds Adult Numeracy Certificates at Level 1 and Level 2
  • City & Guilds Entry Level Numeracy Certificate
  • City & Guilds Key Skills Certificate

There are no entry requirements for these qualifications.
