Yeovil College holds the STEM Ambassadors Programme contract for Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole, ensuring all schools and colleges have access to a range of exciting and dynamic role models in STEM. Ambassadors are individuals who are willing to give their time and energy free of charge to help inspire young people in STEM – they can do this in a variety of ways from illustrating specific careers or helping with classroom activities to assisting in extracurricular activities such as clubs, challenges and competitions. Many businesses want to be involved in their local schools and colleges, and the STEM Ambassadors Programme provides this link, giving young people an insight into the ‘real world’ of work.
Becoming a STEM Ambassador is very rewarding and easy to do, simply go to the STEMNET website
