16 Plus STEM Enrichment and Enhancement Activities

 

BSA CREST* Awards (award scheme)

CREativity in Science and Technology (CREST)

Students complete a STEM project working with a mentor from industry or higher education, and can register for a Silver (40 hours project work) or Gold (100 hours project work) CREST award.

Greenpower F35 (competition)

Young Engineer for Britain (competition)

This competition challenges students either as individuals or in a team to design and develop an original idea that meets a real need

 

Headstart (residential courses)

Four-day residential courses held at major national universities giving opportunities through practical experiences to learn about the challenges and rewards of science engineering and technology.

Smallpeice Trust 4-day residential courses (residential courses)

These courses provide hands-on engineering experiences, and take place at universities and other secure venues throughout the UK.
