Yeovil College Student UnionEvery student is automatically a member of the Yeovil College Student Union (YCSU) at no cost. Yeovil College Student Union exists to support you in getting the most out of your time at College, by organising and promoting events, running campaigns and giving you the chance to say what you think. We also organise events to raise money for local and national charities, which gives us an excuse to party! |

PARTIES AND EVENTS: We organise student parties and live music events at nightclubs and other venues in the Yeovil area and also help promote events that our students will be interested in or are involved in. |

|
FUNDRAISING & CAMPAIGNS: We raise money throughout the year and then give it to local and national charities. Parties and gigs raise money and we run small events specifically to raise money and enjoy ourselves. We aim to help and inform you on issues such as top up fees, public transport and health issues. We also run campaigns on topics such as Fair Trade. Each SU member is involved in campaigning work, so be prepared to help out! |

FRESHER’S FAIR: In September we organise a Fresher’s Fair, which gives you the chance to find out what’s going on locally and to meet businesses that employ students. |

NUS EXTRA CARD: This is the national discount card for students. It offers money off at many high street shops and online retailers. Make sure you get yours early and start saving money on fashion, travel, entertainment, computers & phones, ethical shopping and competitions, right across the UK. |

STUDENT VOICE: YCSU helps make students’ voices heard. We have links to local councils and other groups, so we can often help you get your voice heard in the right place. HOW CAN YOU HELP? By becoming a Tutor Group Rep or a member of the Executive Committee (weekly meetings are on Thursday at 15:30 in room B107), or just by supporting our campaigns. For YCSU to be successful, we need you to be actively involved. Students who help with the YCSU can be rewarded through Millennium Volunteers, the Duke of Edinburgh's Awards Scheme and in many other ways. For YCSU to be successful, we need you to be actively involved. We look forward to seeing you.
